Since an early age, Mel has always had a passion for health & wellbeing. She gained an BA honors degree in sport & health studies from Manchester Metropolitan University and it was during her studies that she developed an interest in complementary medicine and a holistic approach to health. This led to her pursuing  a career as a complementary therapist and as an advisor  for a chain of independent health stores in North Staffordshire. She holds qualifications in Sports & Remedial Massage, Naturopathic Nutrition, Hopi Ear Candling and more recently, Traditional Thai Massage. With almost 20 years experience in the Natural Health Industry Mel finally took the leap in 2011 and  opened the doors of Bare Health, an Independent Healthy Living Store & Holistic Treatment Centre in the heart of Congleton, Cheshire. It is now a thriving independent business, a 'one stop shop' for health & well being with the local community at its  very heart.

A vocation that she thoroughly loves and spends time researching and attending training seminars to improve her knowledge which she readily passes onto our customers. Sue is also a very experienced therapist with 22 years in practise, she works holistically with a passion to help others!

Meet Nuri Adams-Davies, our new Bare Health Store Advisor & Nutritionist. Nuri  was born in Portland, Oregon, and is a keen advocate of wearing sundresses with wellies, and having lazy weekend brunches (which she attributes her roots!)

 

She abandoned nursing school in 2010 to get married and move to the UK, and soon after dropped her pursuit of a career in nursing, preferring to help people take charge of their own health. This new found passion led Nuri to study with the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) and she was awarded a diploma in Nutrition.

Having seen a lot of change and development in the natural health and wellness field just in the past five years has motivated Nuri to create educational materials for her nutrition clients and her blog (available on our Bare Health Blog page and also at www.healthyworldnutrition.co.uk).

 

She’s thrilled to be joining Bare Health as part of (in Nuri's words) 'such an awesome team', and hopes you can pop in for a chat sometime soon!
